Whether you're throwing a donut themed party, or looking for another party snack, these easy DIY donuts are perfect for your next event. No need for a deep fryer, these donuts are baked in the oven!
Makes approx. 12 donuts or 24 mini donuts.
Ingredients
2 cups flour
3/4 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220 degrees celsius. Spray the donut tin to ensure the batter does not stick.
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt.
- Add in the buttermilk, eggs and melted butter and beat until mixture is just combined.
- Spoon mixture into piping bag and pipe batter into donut tin until they are 2/3 full.
- Bake for 7-9 minutes, until a toothpick is clean when removed.

Cinnamon Sugar Donuts
Ingredients
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon, or to taste
Instructions
- Mix the cinnamon and sugar together in a bowl
- Dip the warm donuts into the melted butter
- Coat the donut in the cinnamon sugar mixture and enjoy!
Glazed Donuts
Ingredients
1 cup icing sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
Few drops of food colouring (optional). See our range of food colouring here.
Instructions
- Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
- Dip the cooled donut in the mixture.
- If desired, add sprinkles onto the glaze immediately and then leave to set.
